handPRINT Studio is pleased to offer workshops in a range of printmaking processes and techniques, including Collagraph/Carborundum printmaking, Safe Etching, Drypoint printmaking and Monotype. Courses are either over a period of 2 days or an extended, more varied but no less intensive 5 days. Workshops maintain an emphasis on small groups of students, thus enabling more individual tuition over the duration of the course.

All basic materials, plus handouts relating to all aspects of the workshop, are included in the price.

Workshops, which run from 10am to 5pm, deal with a wide range of aspects relating to the process involved, including tools and materials, suppliers, basic and creative methods of plate preparation , basic inking and printing, advanced inking and printing techniques, colour registration and cleaning and mounting prints.

Accommodation and meals are not included in the price of the workshops, although tea, coffee etc. are available throughout the course.

Course tutor, Peter Wray R.E., is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, and one of UK's foremost exponents of Collagraph/Carborundum printmaking.
